Manitoba Launches Electronic Medical Record Program
More Manitoba physicians will be able to make use of electronic medical records (EMR) to better manage patient information with the support of a new funding program, Health Minister Theresa Oswald announced today.

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority selects Optimed's Accuro® EMR for up to 254 Physicians in 16 Regionally Operated Clinics
Optimed has entered into a contract with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) to help the Region address the needs of all its physicians providing care in the community. The WRHA agreement, one of the largest of its kind in Canada, makes Optimed's Accuro®EMR the leading EMR solution in Manitoba.

Live at Two WRHA Sites
Access Downtown (Health Action Centre) and Nine Circles have already gone "Live" with Accuro®EMR through an early start agreement to fast track the WRHA's rollout. The Accuro®EMR Solution allows Manitoba physicians increased productivity with respect to dispensing their medical counsel while spending less time on administration for greater patient care.
Optimed 'First Approved EMR Vendor' in Manitoba
Manitoba eHealth gave notice that effective July 7, 2009 Optimed has successfully demonstrated the Conformance of its Accuro® EMR version 5 - making Optimed the first to achieve 'Approved EMR Vendor' status in Manitoba. Accuro® EMR meets all core requirements of Manitoba, including contractual arrangements of the RFQ process, to provide Manitoba primary care providers and community physicians with a set of Approved EMRs.
