Filing Clerk

Filing in a computer can be as fast as filing manually. Please note that this is not where the significant time savings occur. The purpose to electronic filing is to better organize documents in a format that can be instantly accessed from anywhere in the clinic and other locations. The other benefit is the aesthetics of reducing chart clutter and freeing up shelf space. The most common objection to the Ôpaperless' transition is:

"We have way too many charts to make this work.... There's just no way."

This is an understandable statement. If you are just starting a practice, then the chartless environment is clearly the way to go, but taking care of the 60,000 old charts is intimidating. We can explain a process that will make this transition practical for clinics of any size.
